A sense of futurism dominated on the runways for Spring, though applying some of the more fashion-forward iterations of this idea to real life can be tricky, to say the least. Kate Middleton’s style choices tend to skew more conservative for the most part, and yet earlier today, at a charity event in London, the duchess stepped out wearing a print that was nothing short of otherworldly.
The knee-length A-line frock is classic Middleton, and has an added air of sophistication with sensible Jimmy Choo pumps. A simple black Mulberrypochette is practical and polished, and lets the graphic, cosmic motif take the spotlight here. After the mauve Dolce & Gabbana sheath Middleton sported to a function lending up to last week’s Chinese state dinner, this Tabitha Webb frock is the latest indication that the royal is charting new and unexpected territory with her wardrobe.
