Germany to invade Queensland beaches
Who does swimwear best? Germany or the Queenslanders? Of course we are biased as we live and breathe the Queensland beaches but the Germans are coming and they are set to invade our shores with quality, well priced, versatile swimwear. Who will come out the victors?
Will it be home grown success story Hive Swimwear? Noosa based, the 10 year old label has invaded international shores itself with swimwear that sticks. Perfect for the active swimmer from girls to plus size, surfers to swimmers and all with on trend prints exclusive to the label.
Maybe new comer Abby Rose bikini’s, also Noosa based, will take on all of the established labels with its cuts and styles for the younger generation. You have to watch those new ones, sometime they can attack unexpectedly.
What about Togs swimwear out of the Gold Coast? 20 years of established business locally and internationally makes for a strong army of dedicated followers in the mature market?
Or will the invasion strike our Queensland brands down with a Eurpoean take over? German brand Sunflair is already the most sold brand in the world with swimwear for men and women, as well as matching over swim garments that just scream “Sunshine Coast lifestyle!!” European shorts, speedo cuts and board shorts get every male young and old covered and ready to hit the beach or pool. Women’s suitable for the younger twenty year old to the mature woman, with body shaping ranges, plus sizes and mastectomy lines as well, not to mention over 100 new styles each season!
The real concern though is newcomer to Australian shores Opera. High end, extremely high quality the ranges are also extensive, covered in Swarovski crystals and with an air of class and sophistication quietly but commandingly say “million dollar yacht with Moet & Chandon 1943.” We have nothing like this label on the market here and we run the risk of a defeat when it hits our shores.
So who will be the judge? The consumer of course and the first to cast their vote and defend their labels or defect to the other side will be those in attendance at the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival on October 25 at Palmer Coolum Resort.
