Renowned Kuchipudi artists, Bhavana & Yamini Reddy walked the ramp as showstoppers for designer Neeta Bhargava on at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week SS’15 edition. The two wore adorning beautiful white organic fiber based ensembles with hand painting and threadwork for Neeta’s show.
“My collection this season is about breathable fashion – free flowing, nature inspired garments that possess style, expression and comfort. The looks bring new dimension to traditional handlooms with an artistic and edgy twist. As show stoppers, Bhavana and Yamini embody the collection’s philosophy to the T. They are both young talented artists who are taking traditional Indian arts to another level. It’s nice to see this generation succeeding in reviving our arts”, said Neeta Bhargava talking about her show stoppers.
Pollution free nature – free from smoke, from darkness, free from the haze – lends inspiration to the designer’s collection ‘Unmaze the Haze’. The collection reflects the designer’s anguish over atrocities on Mother Earth through the use of smoky grey textures and motifs. She aspires for a beautiful, clean and vibrant world through the use of enigmatic indigos, pristine whites and a new awakening reflected with the use of dawn orange – a world where one can breathe freely and easily.
