Rita Ora Has a ’90s Supermodel Throwback Moment

There are few moments in nineties fashion history more iconic than the epic biker portrait shot by Peter Lindbergh for Vogue of Versace-clad supers Cindy CrawfordLinda EvangelistaClaudia SchifferNaomi Campbell, et al, under the Brooklyn Bridge. And judging by what she wore on the street in New York today, Rita Ora would agree.

The trick to Ora’s street style is in the proportions and clever use of accessories. The Vera Wang platform booties add a chic edge to her body-skimming leather dress, whereas the delicate jewelry—pearl jacket earrings from Fallon, a personal necklace, and thin gold bangle—are the right foil to her biker babe look. In this case, a motorcycle is entirely optional.
