Gender equality is a human right, but our world faces a persistent gap in access to opportunities and decision-making power for women and men.Globally, women have fewer opportunities for economic participation than men, less access to basic and higher education, greater health and safety risks, and less political representation. Guaranteeing the rights of women and giving them opportunities to reach their full potential is critical not only for attaining gender equality, but also for meeting a wide range of international development goals. Empowered women and girls contribute to the health and productivity of their families, communities, and countries, creating a ripple effect that benefits everyone.
How many are with me on the notion”one can’t Empower women until we Treat them Equal”?
I felt so connected when I Heard about the initiative taken by Team swatimodo “Walk India in her shoes” that I went exploring more on it.
How aptly the organizers have put forward the point”why is 4 :00 Am insecure for women ,who makes is unsafe? Why is there a need for “women only coaches”? why our sisters ,mothers, Daughters not safe? They gave me a new thought.
“The idea behind the activity is to make men live life of women for a day”said ,Venus, Shekhar and Swati(minds behind the concept)
We wanted men and women to be connected and what can be better element than heels? Men would perform tasks of women,Rather Women of today from taking care of house to going to going to office and enjoying at party all that she does in life but all in heels.
This activity will have big shot corporates seen living a life of a women in the competitive world and compete with each other and touch the victory point in the marathon.the marathon is designed taking experience and feedback from women herself from various races from a housewife to CEO to makeup artists. How there usual day is can be seen during the marathon.
